As with any South Olé tour, we will take you off the beaten path and into local experiences with your own guide. Priego is a historic-artistical preserved town since 1972. It is well-known as the capital of the Cordovan Baroque style.

We’ll walk along its natural balcony, The Adarve. Feel the breeze off the olive groves and breathe in the aroma of the fields.

The tiny squares, narrow streets, castle, and churches come together to create a beautifual Baroque masterpiece. The monumental fountain “Fuente del Rey”, beautiful gardens, stately houses facades tell the story of Spanish Conquistadors returning with gold from the Americas. This village also has the honor of being the birthplace of the President of the Spanish Second Republic.

During your walking tour you will visit the highlights in this Córdoba historic village. Walk through the main monuments and spots as its Castle, Church of the Assumption and Tabernacle, Adarve and Fuente del Rey. Continue with your guide to Plaza de la Constitución, Carnicerías Reales and Jardines del Paseo de Colombia. Visit Nuestra Señora de Asunción Church, Calle Río and Fuente de la Salud. You might want to have a glass of wine or coffee on a plaza in the Moorish Quarter or Barrio de la Villa, with narrow streets and full of flowers, pure Córdoba heritage.

After your walking tour, you will visit a nearby olive oil mill where you will learn about how it is made. Taste the oil and stay for lunch if you like!
