Adventure in Spain and Portugal

Day 1 – MADRID AND TOLEDO

Arrive at Barajas Airport where your driver will be waiting to take you to your apartment in nearby Toledo. Begin your adventure in Spain tour today! The ancient capital is well-preserved and full of cultural wonder. As you approach, notice how the entire city crowds onto a high, rocky perch protected by the Tajo River. Check in and take some time to acclimatize before heading to the Tajo River. Get over your jetlag with a breathtaking zipline ride over the Tajo River. This is the longest zipline in Europe. As the sun sets, your guide will meet you for a nocturnal “Legends of Toledo” tour. See the sites from outside and hear the stories of Templar Knights, witches and the Inquisition. Learn to recognize small symbols hidden in the architecture of the city.

Day 2 – SEGOVIA BY BALLOON

In the morning, meet your driver for the ride to nearby Segovia – small city with a Roman Aqueduct, Disney-style castle and beautiful old town. Hop on your hot air balloon for a magical ride over the city. As you land, have a small lunch with champagne. Enjoy some free time in Segovia before going with your driver to Madrid. Catch a short flight to Lisbon, where we’ll have another driver waiting to take you to your apartment.

Day 3 – LISBON IN GOCAR

Head down to Baixa where we’ll have GoCars with a GPS programmed route ready for you. Hop in and see the city from a view point most tourists never see. Stop at all the lookouts and the sites you like most for that perfect selfie!

Day 4 – SINTRA JEEP SAFARI

Meet your driver for the ride to nearby Sintra, a fairy tale town. Begin with a visit to the tiny old town and grab a few souvenirs from the cute boutiques. Later, hop in your Jeep and your guide will take you through Sintra Natural Park, where Portuguese Royalty had their castles and hunting grounds. Next, head out to Cape Roca where the waves crash up against the tall cliffs. Finish the day with a stop at Guincho surf beach and Cascais.

Day 5 –SEVILLA BY BIKE

We’ll have a driver take you to Lisbon Airport. Catch a short flight to Sevilla, the land of flamenco.

As you get into Sevilla, check in at your hotel where your guide will be waiting after lunch to take you on a biking tour. Begin at the city walls, passing the Murillo gardens and entering the small labyrinth of Barrio Santa Cruz – the Jewish Quarters. Also see the Alcazar, Cathedral and Giralda. End your tour at Casa de la Memoria in the Old Town for a non-touristy flamenco show.

Day 6 – GRANADA AND BARCELONA

Meet your driver for the ride to Granada, the last Moorish stronghold in Spain till 1492. Once you arrive to Granada, meet your guide at the Alhambra. Today we’ll go back 900 years to visit the 11th wonder of the world. The Gardens of Paradise, Alcazar Fortress and renowned Nasrid Palaces are just some parts of the Alhambra that you’ll visit on tour. As you enter the Patio of the Lions, listen to the legend that these marble statues are actually of Jewish origin. Visit the old town on your own. In the late afternoon, we’ll have a driver take you to Granada airport to catch a short flight to Barcelona.

Day 7 – BARCELONA

Explore the beauty of Barcelona on a complete visit of the exquisite Catalonian city. See the city’s most iconic sights, beginning with a panoramic drive down Passeig de Gracia Boulevard, past Parc Güell, both Gaudí houses, las Ramblas and the Born district. Stop at the Sagrada Familia and Pedrera to get a better look at the inside of these fabulously designed buildings.

Day 8 – COSTA BRAVA

Today your adventure in Spain tour begins with a drive you to the Costa Brava. From Tamariú Beach, head out with a group and guides on 2-seater kayaks for a tour of the nearby coves and sea caves. Return to Barcelona in the afternoon.

Day 9 – DEPARTURE

Meet your driver for the ride to El Prat airport.
