Discover Huesca’s millenary history and huge heritage. Walk through its streets, see the archeological remains and visit its monuments.
In the photo you can see Loarre Castle and Abbey, a Romanic fortress that perches above the city. Huseca is a largely unexploited tourist destination. The city is very close to the Pyrenees. Nearby both hiking and skiing are available. If you want to get out in nature, head to Parque Nacional Ordesa y Monte Perdido. If you go, the park has many lookouts, waterfalls and wildlife that are fun to discover in a 4×4.
Don’t miss the San Lorenzo patron saint festivals in mid-August! Rub shoulders with locals as you learn the typical dance “jotas”. For the festivities, Huesca is decorated in green and white.
